The short version: this is a simple informational site run by neighbors. We don't ask for your personal information, and we don't sell anything directly.

Who we are
PalmasMesh.com is a community-run informational website about PalmasMesh, a neighbor-built Meshtastic radio network in Palmas del Mar, Humacao, Puerto Rico. It is not a business, and we don't sell products or services through this site.
What we collect
Almost nothing. This is a static website — there are no accounts to create and no newsletter sign-up. You don't need to give us any personal information to read these pages.
The one exception is our contact page. If you choose to send us a message there, we receive what you type in — your name, your e-mail address, and your message — so we can read it and reply. Those submissions are handled for us by a third-party form service (Web3Forms), which passes your message along to us by e-mail. We use what you send only to respond to you, and we don't sell it or use it for marketing.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep basic, standard server logs (for example, the type of request and a general timestamp) to keep the site running and secure. We don't use these to identify you, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
Cookies and tracking
We don't set advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics that follow you around the web. If that ever changes, we'll update this page first.
Affiliate links
Some links to recommended hardware may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, PalmasMesh may earn a small commission from that retailer — at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (for example, the device maker or their store) may set its own cookies and apply its own privacy policy, which we don't control.
We only recommend gear we'd genuinely point a neighbor toward, whether or not it earns a commission. Any commission helps cover the cost of running the network and this site.
Links to other sites
This site links out to manufacturers, stores, the Meshtastic project, and community groups. Once you follow a link off PalmasMesh.com, you're subject to that site's own privacy practices. We'd encourage you to read their policies if you're concerned about how they handle your data.
Children
This is a general-audience informational site and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works in a way that affects this policy, we'll update the text here and change the "last updated" date above.
